East Kent Foot Care working with Action for Homeless in Folkestone. Providing a Free Foot Health Clinic at the Salvation Army hall in Canterbury Road.

Very excited to be featured in the recent issue of the Hythe Life Community Interest Company magazine, with a piece about our work for the homeless community in our area. Last night we were at the Salvation Army hall on Canterbury Road where we offered our services to the local homeless in Shepway. We were able to treat a variety of foot health issues, as well giving out donations to all of the people we saw. We are pleased to be working alongside @Action for Homelessness in Folkestone who do an amazing job of helping people. Over the coming winter months we will be continuing to offer our time for free. If you would like to donate towards provisions for this service you can at

We are proud to announce that during 2017 we have been and will continue to be involved in the WTBDF Kent initiative. We were lucky enough to be invited to attend the first dementia awareness conference on 14th January 2017 enabling us to learn more about what is it like to live with dementia.
Alzheimer’s UK and the Shepway Community Safety Partnership are working together with businesses and workplaces to help make life easier for those with dementia.
We are working to adopt the criteria set out by the scheme and have submitted our application to be recognised as doing to so and to be able to use and be a part of their logo and website when it is launched later on in the year.
In addition all of our team have become part of the dementia friend’s project and we have all submitted our pledges to assist the clients we work with living with dementia by adapting our foot care services to accommodate their needs. As well as keeping up to date with the local dementia alliance and helping to facilitate the scheme to make Hythe a dementia friendly community over the coming months.
