We are thrilled to now be in our 3rd year of providing the free foot care clinics to the homeless and vulnerable in the local community. It is a privilege to work alongside Pam Jones and Sheila Eade at the Folkestone Salvation Army. We raise all of the finds to provide this service ourselves and every donation of socks, shoes and monetary donations to fun kit and equipment is so very much appreciated!
Jo was invited to deliver an education session for the Invicta Diabetes Support Group in Folkestone. She gave a presentation with some fantastic visual aids to talk about the effects of Diabetes on the body and in particular, the feet. She then opened to the floor for any questions they may have and spent almost 2 hours answering questions. The feedback we received from the session was really positive and we are now in a very fortunate position to be able to offer neurovascular checks to members of this support group which we will have more information on as we enter the New Year.
Earlier this week we woke up to the incredible news that Jo Shapter has been shortlisted as a double category finalist at the Kent Women in Business Awards 2019.
The categories are the service excellence award and the community award. There were over 600 nominations for the awards this year they largest number of nominations to date which makes us even more proud that we have made the final shortlist twice over.
Now to keep everything crossed until the winners are revealed at the awards ceremony on 8th March 2019.
