Jo was invited to deliver an education session for the Invicta Diabetes Support Group in Folkestone. She gave a presentation with some fantastic visual aids to talk about the effects of Diabetes on the body and in particular, the feet. She then opened to the floor for any questions they may have and spent almost 2 hours answering questions. The feedback we received from the session was really positive and we are now in a very fortunate position to be able to offer neurovascular checks to members of this support group which we will have more information on as we enter the New Year.
East Kent Foot Care working with Action for Homeless in Folkestone. Providing a Free Foot Health Clinic at the Salvation Army hall in Canterbury Road.
Very excited to be featured in the recent issue of the Hythe Life Community Interest Company magazine, with a piece about our work for the homeless community in our area. Last night we were at the Salvation Army hall on Canterbury Road where we offered our services to the local homeless in Shepway. We were able to treat a variety of foot health issues, as well giving out donations to all of the people we saw. We are pleased to be working alongside @Action for Homelessness in Folkestone who do an amazing job of helping people. Over the coming winter months we will be continuing to offer our time for free. If you would like to donate towards provisions for this service you can at www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/footcareprovisions
We started this last night 15 January 2018 with the next clinic on the 22 January 2018 @ 16:30.
