Curacorn® is an innovative podiatry treatment using hyaluronic acid gel to protect areas of high pressure in the foot.

The body naturally produces hyaluronic acid, which is found in connective tissues. Hyaluronic acid helps the tissues retain water. By placing a tiny, soft gel “buffer” under the skin it attracts water molecules to form a stable cushion and in doing so relieves pain from stubborn corns and calluses that keep coming back, even after routine removal.

This treatment was originally developed for elite athletes and is now available to everyone seeking lasting relief.

Before and after picture of foot with corn
  • Persistent corns that return despite routine care
  • Painful callus caused by reduced fat padding under the ball or heel
  • “Walking on marbles” sensation beneath the forefoot
  • Discomfort between toes, on top of toes, or around little toes

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have active infection or broken skin at the treatment site
  • Are taking blood-thinning medication (assessed individually)
  • Have autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis or Type 1 diabetes (assessed individually)
  • Are under 18

Your podiatrist will review your medical history, check circulation and nerve health, and gently remove any hard skin. They will discuss the options and answer any questions you might have.

A local anaesthetic is applied, then a tiny cannula is used to inject the Curacorn® gel under the problem area.

A protective dressing is applied, and you’ll be advised to avoid pressure for 24 hours while the gel settles.

FAQs

Q: Will the corn come back?

Curacorn® cushions the area and reduces pressure, but footwear and biomechanics still play a role. Most patients enjoy long-lasting relief.

Q: Can I exercise after treatment?

Light activity after 24–48 hours is usually fine, but avoid direct pressure on the treated area initially.

Q: Is it safe for diabetics?

Suitability depends on your overall foot health. We’ll assess this individually during your consultation.
