What you need to know
While East Kent Foot Care is happy to accept self-referrals, your insurance provider may require a GP/Consultant referral prior to attending through Vitality. To find out, call Vitality on 0345 602 3523.
Contact Vitality if you have any doubt regarding your policy coverage prior to attending. East Kent Foot Care cannot speak to your insurance company on your behalf.
In all cases through Vitality, it is your responsibility to inform Vitality prior to each consultation. It is your responsibility to inform Vitality prior to each consultation and ensure that the appointment and / or treatment is pre authorised. Failure to provide pre authorised treatments may result in unexpected invoices sent to you.
We ask that fees are paid at the time of the consultation and we will provide the relevant paperwork for you to claim back through your Vitality insurance.
East Kent Foot Care is a recognised facility for Vitality. We strongly recommend that you request all of our podiatrists be included on your authorisation code.
Treatment not covered
Unfortunately, Vitality do not cover dressings, medication or medical devices such as orthotics and splints. Your Podiatrist can discuss if self-pay fees apply. Advanced Musculoskeletal + 3D Gait Analysis or MSK Analysis appointments are not generally covered by Vitality.

- Initial consultation: No code required – Pre-authorisation only
- Follow-up consultation: No code required – Pre-authorisation only
- Shockwave therapy per consultation: Per appointment patients will need to pre-authorise the following: T5780 for plantar fasciitis / T7250 for achilles tendinopathy 60 or 75
- SWIFT verruca treatment per consultation: Per appointment patients will need to pre-authorise the following: SO601 70
- Nail surgery: Per toe operated patients will need to pre-authorise the following: S7010. This code includes local anaesthesia and phenol. 120 + 135
